2024 Title IX Regulations – Effectively?
As you have probably already heard, the new Title IX regulations were published last Friday and take effect August 2024. LEAs are now required to respond “promptly and effectively,” rather than the previous “promptly in a manner that is not deliberately indifferent.” I am curious what folks anticipate “effectively” to mean in a practical sense and how LEAs can demonstrate effectiveness (especially if the complainant is no longer affiliated with the LEA as is now allowed).
