Biography | Dr. David Conrad serves Governors State University as an Associate Professor of Educational Administration and Assistant Dean in the College of Education and Human Development. He teaches graduate courses for aspiring school leaders, specializing in leadership and school law. He earned an Ed.D. in Educational Organization and Leadership from the University of Illinois in 2018. His mixed methods dissertation studied the micropolitics of teacher evaluation reforms implemented in Illinois public schools. His additional education includes a B.S. in Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an M.M.Ed. in Music Education from Illinois State University, an M.A. in Educational Administration from Governors State University, and a graduate certificate in Legal Aspects of Schools from the University of Illinois-Springfield. As an emerging scholar, Dr. Conrad presents research and best practices at state and national education conferences, including presentations for the Education Law Association, Phi Kappa Phi, International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership, University Council for Educational Administration, American Educational Research Association, Illinois Principals Association, Illinois Association of School Boards, Kappa Delta Pi, Chicago Southland Educator Consortium, and Illinois Elementary School Association. His publications include articles in the Journal of Education Human Resources, Leadership and Policy in Schools, International Journal of Educational Leadership Preparation, Journal of School Administration Research and Development, Phi Kappa Phi Forum, National Federation of High Schools Music Journal, and Irish Music Teacher. Dr. Conrad’s scholarship focuses on leadership preparation and education policy. |
