Biography

Kristen is qualified lawyer and has 12 years experience in advising and supporting schools and businesses in a range of matters.

Kristen has acted for and advised School’s during Serious Incidents including Coronial Investigations, Data Breaches, VIT Investigations, WorkSafe Investigations and Charges, Injury to Staff, Students and the School Community. Working with Principals, Business Managers and Boards Kristen has a unique understanding of School’s Legal, Governance and Risk requirements. 

Kristen was appointed as Director of Boarding for a large Independent School to oversee the compliance with Boarding Regulations, International Student Regulations, Indigenous Scholarship Program and ABSTUDY, as well as management of HR, Operations, and COVID planning and response.  

Kristen’s experience includes:

•Policy drafting, review and implementation
•School outsource services including risk and compliance
•Compliance framework development and implementations
•Stakeholder liaison, dispute management and engagement frameworks
•Delivery of Board and Staff training programs
•Compliance reviews: including contract compliance and regulatory compliance
•Audit and advice on internal operations including Health Centre management, education support services, reasonable adjustments and workplace disputes.
