Lake Tahoe Excursion

Please join us directly after the closing plenary for a scenic excursion to Lake Tahoe from 12 noon to 5 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

  • At 12 noon board bus from Nugget Hotel and enjoy a boxed lunch while taking a scenic ride up the Sierra mountains.
  • At 1 pm arrive Sand Harbor, a Nevada State Park.
  • From 1 pm to 4 pm enjoy free time for various activities, such as relaxing at the Alpine beach, walking the scenic trail, enjoying a drink at the local cafe, or if the weather permits at users’ own cost renting kayaks and paddle boards.
  • At 4 pm board the bus from Sand Harbor and enjoy a ride down the Sierras to Reno.
  • At 5 pm arrive Nugget Hotel.

The weather will likely be in the mid-60s. Please wear layers, including a sweater or light jacket, and make sure to wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes.
