Visit Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe

Please join us directly after the closing plenary for a scenic excursion to Lake Tahoe from 12 noon to 5 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Lunch is not included for those who register after October 4, 2023.

• At 11:15 AM, after the plenary, visit the hotel’s Rosie’s Cafe or Starbucks to order yourself a to-go lunch to bring on the bus.
• At 12 PM, board the bus from Nugget Hotel and enjoy a scenic ride up the Sierra mountains.
• At 1 PM, arrive at Sand Harbor, a Nevada State Park.
• From 1 PM to 4 PM, enjoy free time for various activities, such as relaxing at the Alpine beach or walking the scenic trail.
• At 4 PM, board the bus from Sand Harbor and enjoy a ride down the Sierras to Reno.
• At 5 PM, arrive at the Nugget Hotel.

The weather will likely be in the mid-60s. Please wear layers, including a sweater or light jacket, and make sure to wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes.
