Van Pérez is a third-year student at Howard University School of Law, in Washington DC. Van graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. Before attending law school, she worked as a college advisor and academic interventionist at a public high school in Tempe, Arizona. Van is passionate about advancing public interests and educational opportunities for historically marginalized students, families, and communities through systemic legal work and policy change. Van immigrated from Mexico and is a native Spanish speaker.
